What Are We Growing?

Pasture Raised & Naturally Grown Eggs

We have two flocks of Certified Naturally Grown, Heritage-breed, laying hens that roam across 2.5 acres of pasture. We rotate their pasture fence weekly and give them a custom blend of feed and minerals to ensure their health and well being. Pasture raised eggs have more than double the amount of vital Omega-3 fatty acids and vitamin E when compared to conventionally raised eggs while having 1/4 of the saturated fat. The average egg on a grocery store shelf is 3 weeks old - ours are farm fresh. Pasture raised eggs are not only better for the birds, but better for the planet and people.

Naturally Grown Fruits & Veggies

Our seasonal veggies and fruits are grown with care and loved by our farmers. We put the produce we grow at the center of our table and diet. We make huge efforts so that we can guarantee that everything we sell at Salt Creek Co-op is Certified Naturally Grown. Due to our efforts, we are able to assure you that all of our produce contains the healthy nutrients that normally get lost when foods are grown with the use of herbicides and pesticides and then shipped hundreds or thousands of miles.

Naturally Grown Cut Flowers

Cut flowers will be offered throughout the season to brighten your home and kitchen. We proudly surround our garden with acres of native prairie for pollinator habitat. We thus feel guilt-free in growing the most beautiful and interesting flowers from around the world, knowing that many of our natives are already taken care of. Our Certified Naturally Grown practices also ensure that no native insects are harmed in the production of our arrangements.
